4 Easy Steps to Changing Agents… it’s that simple!

1. Schedule Meeting with Property Central

If you are not happy with your current agent, or are just looking for a fresh approach to property management, we can schedule a phone or face to face meeting with you to discuss your situation and identify what it is that’s not working for you with your current situation. We will go through in detail how we operate and the services we provide to our clients.

2. Agreement Signing

After our initial meeting or discussion, the next steps are for us to arrange for the Exclusive Managing Agency Agreement to be signed and a few other required documents that we’ll assist you with. We understand you are busy, so we want to make it as easy as possible for you. With many clients we arrange for digital signing of these documents if we are unable to meet in person.

3. Notify your current agent of the change

We understand that it may be quite daunting advising your agent that you wish to end their services. Many landlords avoid making the change from their current agency in order to avoid a potentially uncomfortable process. However, what most clients find with us is that they do not need to do anything, we will do this for you! We will create a letter with your signature which will be issued to your current agent on your behalf. The file and keys will then be collected by our team at Property Central once the notice period with your current agency expires.

4. Onboarding with Property Central

Property Central will collect your property file & keys from your current agent on the date that your notice expires. Once the file is collected, we will contact your tenants introduce ourselves as their new property manager and advise the tenants how to pay rent, report maintenance and induct them to our tenant communication process. A meeting will be made with the tenant at the property soon after the takeover date so we can inspect and get to know your property. Your new property manager will then be be in contact with you to introduce themselves get to know you better in order to ensure the relationship is off to a great start.
